We are searching for a talented and innovative Web Designer to create interactive online Editorial and Marketing content that serves hartenergy.com's growing digital audience and users of the Industry's leading digital product portfolio. You will be responsible for producing content that enhances and defines the company's brand and user experience, aesthetic, and marketing strategy. This content will span Hart Energy's digital products, social media platforms, video, graphics, website banners, and all promotional campaigns.

The ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. They should also have superior user interface design skills. They should be able to combine creativity, functional expertise, and technology capabilities to produce breakthrough and leading industry content. In this role, creative, organizational, and technical skills are key, and all candidates must possess in-depth knowledge of web design and development tools.


  • Design and develop web-based components in HTML5, CSS and JavaScript from the ground up
  • Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks
  • Produce design assets for website, social media, advertising and marketing channels.
  • Edit and update web content within several content management systems, static HTML sites
  • Code responsive emails for various promotional, life-cycle, and transactional campaigns using the latest HTML and CSS email oriented best practices - with a focus on code reusability
  • Collaborating with the creative director, marketing, engineering, and other teams
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards


  • Proven experience as a Web Designer
  • A portfolio of previous web design work to display experience and creativity
  • Proficiency with HTML, CSS, and Javascript
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch, or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Experience with platforms like Drupal, Marketo, and Google Ad Manager
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process
  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction
  • Up-to-date with the latest Web trends, techniques and technologies
