The role of Web Developer will provide front end web development and deliver front-end markup and code. Work closely with the digital media, marketing, and IT teams. Assist with creating new and modifying existing web sites for Hart Energy and its other web products; enhancing website's design and functionality from the user's perspective. Assist in keeping all maintained web pages up-to-date. The Web Designer will report to the Digital Creative Director. 

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as designer and developer for the Hart Energy website and other digital products.
  • Enhances the website's design and functionality from the user's perspective.
  • Troubleshoots problems and works with content management system as needed.
  • Identifies and evaluates strategic improvements, including new technology and software; monitors trends in the industry.
  • Contributes to ongoing enhancement of the website's information architecture.
  • Document interaction development methods, so the process gets easier as time goes on. 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Experience implementing AWS workflows using Lambda, S3, DynamoDB and APIGateway.
  • Extensive Knowledge of Frontend Javascript Frameworks like React or Angular.
  • Knowledge of PHP and Nodejs.
  • Experience developing for Drupal 8 and understanding of the theme API, forms API, entity API and other Drupal 8 backend API's.
  • Drupal 8 Module Development.
  • Experience with Twig, Gulp, and Composer.
  • Familiarity with MySQL, REST APIs, JSON, XML, AJAX.
  • Experience with git source control, making pull requests and using GitHub.
  • Knowledge of serverless development.
  • Understanding of python scripting or similar automation techniques is a plus.
  • Additional Dev Skills: Apache Solr, GraphQL, Varnish.
  • Excellent multitasking, project management and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with a commitment to high standards.
  • Ability to work directly with Designers, Marketers, Developers, and the rest of our team.
